Sarawak MM2H, also known as S-MM2H, is a state-level Malaysia My Second Home programme administered in Sarawak. It is separate from the federal MM2H programme and has its own eligibility conditions, submission process, stay requirement, financial proof, medical check-up rules, and agent arrangements. What Is Sarawak MM2H Guide?
Sarawak MM2H is a state-level long-term stay programme for eligible foreigners who want to make Sarawak their second home. It is different from federal MM2H and should be reviewed separately before applicants decide which pathway to pursue.
Key Sarawak MM2H Points
Applicants may qualify under age, property, medical treatment, or children studying in Sarawak pathways. Applications must be submitted physically or through a registered agent. Processing may take around 90 working days, subject to background and security checks. The S-MM2H pass is generally structured as 10 years, initially up to 5 years with renewal for another 5 years. Participants must fulfill a minimum stay requirement in Sarawak. Medical examination must be done in Sarawak. S-MM2H pass holders are not allowed to work or run businesses in Malaysia.
Sarawak MM2H vs Federal MM2H
Federal MM2H and Sarawak MM2H are not the same programme. Federal MM2H is structured into Silver, Gold, Platinum, and SEZ / SFZ categories. Sarawak MM2H is administered separately by Sarawak and has its own requirements. Applicants should compare: age requirement, financial proof, property plans, stay location, application process, medical check-up location, sponsor or agent arrangement, and renewal requirement.
